Fast Company has named RideAmigos’ Commute Hub platform a finalist in the Workplace category of the 2022 World Changing Ideas Awards. A number of winners and finalist awards were announced this month, recognizing clean technology, innovative business activities, new city plans, and other creative works that encourage social innovation, addressing social injustice, climate change, and public health concerns.
Commute Hub is a professional transportation demand management (TDM) platform with a workplace-specific experience. It enables organisations such as LinkedIn, Patagonia, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and the State of Arizona to improve employee commute experiences across vast campuses or numerous worksites by implementing various parking, transit, and reward programmes.
Employers utilised RideAmigos’ Commute Hub in 2021 to manage over a million dollars in parking cash-outs and incentives, issue thousands of parking permits, and save 2.5 million drive-alone trips.
The World Changing Ideas Awards, now in their sixth year, highlight some of the world’s most inventive entrepreneurs and businesses solving global concerns. A team of prominent Fast Company editors and reporters chose the winners and finalists from over 2,997 entries from dozens of sectors. The workplace category debuted in 2022 and recognises initiatives that enhance our working life, expand employee rights, or make work safer, smarter, or more fulfilling.
Commute Hub was also given an honourable mention in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility.
“The enterprise has a renewed and larger role in the employee commute,” said Soren Eilertsen, CEO of RideAmigos. “We partner with our customers to navigate this paradigm shift and work to empower everyone to evolve the consciousness around everyday mobility choices.”
“We are consistently inspired by the novelty and creativity that people are applying to solve some of our society’s most pressing problems, from shelter to the climate crisis. Fast Company relishes its role in amplifying important, innovative work to address big challenges,” said David Lidsky, interim editor-in-chief of Fast Company. “Our journalists have identified some of the most ingenious initiatives to launch since the start of 2021, which we hope will both have a meaningful impact and lead others to join in being part of the solution.”
Pave Commuting, a tailored commute app developed by RideAmigos in 2021, has received honourable mention in three categories. Pave Commute is a completely automated, science-based employee commute management tool that delivers individualised suggestions, connects users with others who may share journeys, and compensates them for making wise decisions. Pave Commute was awarded by Fast Company in the areas of AI & Data, Apps, and Corporate Social Responsibility.
RideAmigos is featured in Fast Company’s Summer 2022 edition, which will be available on May 10, 2022, as well as on fastcompany.com.
